Bastar has many things to offer to a traveller. It has India’s widest waterfall – Chitrakote. It has one of the densest forest areas in India – Kanger Valley National Park and also one of the longest caves in India – The Kotumsar Caves. Veritably, its history goes back to Ramayana age when Lord Rama with his kin, spent time here during the exile, at Tirathgarh and predominantly, the primitive indigenous tribes “The Gonds”, “The Madiyas”, “The Dhurwas” reside here in the lap of nature.

Detailed description of package
Day 1: The Natural Blow Day
Commencing from Amcho Bastar Bazaar-Jagdalpur, on the way to Chitrakote waterfall, spot the historical Narayanpal temple, the tribal memory pillars and the panoramic valley at Mehndri ghumar waterfall. Visit an Anthropology Museum to know more about the traditional rituals/cultures of Bastar. Get cosy at Tirathgarh waterfalls, butterfly zone and undertake trekking amidst the densest Kanger Valley National Park.
Day 2: Historical tour
Call on to the historical sites of Bastar. Visit Dantewada to appraise the local deity of Bastar – Devi Danteswari (one of the Shaktipeeths), Bhairam Baba temple and the confluence of Shankini-Dankini River. Visit one of the oldest cities of Bastar which had also seen the golden era during the reign of Nagvanshiya dynasty. Have a look at one of the largest Twin Ganesha idols of sandstone, Mama Bhancha temple, Battisha temple and Khajuraho of Bastar– Chandratiya temple.
